Michael Vastano joined the Mozaic team in 2023 as an Investment Associate. He works on portfolio construction and asset allocation for his clients, but also plays an integral role in Mozaic's investment research and performance reporting processes. Before joining Mozaic, he was a Senior Analyst at Wilshire, where he gained hands-on experience working with consultants on institutional portfolios. He has working knowledge across asset classes but is especially passionate about the public equity markets.

Michael graduated cum laude from Boston College with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Music. In addition to his undergraduate coursework, he was elected to be a student leader of 4Boston, one of the largest collegiate community service groups in the country. After graduating, he took several courses to enhance his analytical skills, including a 4-course UCLA data science program focused on utilizing R, SQL, and Python to perform statistical analyses.

Michael is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) charter holder. He enjoys playing guitar, surfing, and traveling in his spare time.
