Valerie Townsend
Chief of People and Technology
Valerie joined Mozaic, LLC in 2015 as Chaos Coordinator, Scheduling Wizard, and Captain of Multitasking - better known as the Executive Assistant. During her tenure at the company, she identified the need for and cultivated a structured Human Resources and IT department, was promoted to Director of Administration, and now serves as the Chief of People and Technology. Prior to joining Mozaic, Valerie held various administrative and office management roles for over a decade in Education, Manufacturing, and Finance.
Valerie graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems Management, with a concentration in Communication Technologies. She continued her formal Human Resources training at the University of California Los Angeles, where she earned her certificate in Human Resources Management. Valerie also completed a rigorous certification journey and is a Senior Certified Professional by The Society for Human Resource Management (SCP-SHRM).
In her spare time, Valerie loves to experiment with baking, cooking different cuisines, and zipping around town on her motorcycle. She is a fitness enthusiast and enjoys any activity involving family, live music, and the beautiful SoCal weather.
